What’s New?

Elation Health is excited to announce our latest updates designed to enhance your experience with our EHR and Developer Platform services. All of our releases focus on reducing documentation burden, streamlining workflows, and improving efficiency. Here’s what’s new:

Elation EHR Updates

A Central Place for Product Updates

You can find all the latest Elation product updates in one easy-to-access location—right inside your workflow. We know in-app messages and pop-ups don’t always come at the right time. That’s why we’ve added a permanent Resource Center, where you can catch up on new features and enhancements whenever it works for you. This means fewer interruptions and more control—so you can stay informed, adopt new tools at your own pace, and get the most out of Elation.

A Smarter, More Flexible Way to Chart

Elation Note is our new block-based charting experience—designed to give you more control, speed, and flexibility when documenting patient visits. It introduces dynamic, drag-and-drop blocks, reusable templates, and support for structured data entry—making it easier to tailor notes to your workflow. The note includes familiar sections like HPI, Assessment and Plan, as well as custom blocks your practice can create. Custom blocks support structured fields such as checklists, dropdowns, and conditional inputs—ideal for capturing standardized, reportable data across your team. Elation Note also supports actionable clinical reminders, enabling providers to complete key interventions during the visit. You’ll spend less time navigating rigid forms and more time focused on care. Elation Note also simplifies how practices manage templates, customize layouts, and track quality measures—giving you a faster, more adaptable way to document.
  • Drag, drop, and reorder sections—including standard and custom content
  • Use rich text formatting to highlight, organize, and clarify your notes
  • Undo recent changes as you chart—no need to start over
  • Create and customize visit templates—and remove sections you don’t need
  • Chart faster with custom blocks using checkboxes, dropdowns, and other structured fields

Patient Forms: Collect More Accurate Patient Information

With the updated form builder, create and customize your patient intake forms to ensure a smoother check-in. Capture structured, accurate information from the start to save time and reduce errors. What’s New:
  • Add multiple-choice, checkboxes, dropdowns, free-text, signature fields, and more
  • Customize sections, reorder or duplicate questions, and delete fields as needed

Patient Forms: Annual Wellness Visit From Templates

You can now use Elation’s new Annual Wellness Visit (AWV) forms template to collect and store patient information in advance, streamlining pre-visit workflows. This enhancement lets you capture data in a structured format and export it directly to the note’s Functional, Cognitive, and HPI sections—reducing manual work and helping you focus your encounters on the patient, not the paperwork. Click here for more information about Patient Forms.

Quickly Identify AWV-Eligible Patients in Your Patient List

You can now use Quick Views in the Patient List to instantly see which patients are eligible for Annual Wellness Visits (both initial and subsequent). These views use age and past billing codes to help you surface eligible patients faster—no manual tracking needed. With Quick Views, you can proactively reach out, schedule visits, and ensure your practice captures eligible AWV revenue. Click here for more information about the Patient List Report.

Medication Reconciliation

You can now reconcile medications more efficiently with Medication Reconciliation. This AI-powered tool pulls your patient’s actual medication history directly from their EHR. It then highlights any medications that may need to be stopped, based on factors like missed refills, unusual doses, or a questionable need for the drug. Each flag comes with a clear explanation to support your decision-making. You can mark meds as “taking” or “not taking,” and discontinue directly from a single, streamlined view—no more toggling between screens. Auto-draft Letters in Seconds—Meet Wordsmith

Drafting referral orders, provider letters, and patient letters just got easier. With AI-powered Wordsmith, you can simply describe what you want to communicate, and instantly receive a polished draft—ready to edit or send. This optional tool helps reduce time spent on routine documentation, improves consistency, and speeds up communication—giving you more time to focus on patient care. Dx Code Navigator for Premium EHR

Previously, providers had to manually search for specific diagnosis (dx) codes for patients, or rely on their memories. Now, they can use the Dx Code Navigator to quickly and easily find the correct diagnosis code to reflect their patient’s condition. This workflow enables accurate coding to the highest specificity, allowing physicians to think clinically but get the right code. We are currently evaluating the most appropriate pricing and packaging for the Dx Code Navigator feature. You can request to have this feature turned on for your practice by submitting a I need help ticket. Click here to learn more about this feature.

Calendar Blocker

You can now use a new ‘Other Event’ type that indicates preference —like “New Patients Only” during morning slots—without blocking your availability. This means scheduling preferences can be reflected on the calendar without limiting appointment booking. It’s especially helpful managing appointments, ensuring availability remains accurate while giving practices more flexibility and control. This improvement also supports better performance of features like online booking and Quick Reschedule, which rely on up-to-date availability.

Note Assist

Create Care Plans in your Patient’s Preferred Language

You now have the option to personalize Care Plans with Note Assist by automatically generating them in your patient’s preferred language. This helps ensure patients fully understand and can follow through on their care—an essential part of delivering high-quality, empathetic care.

Added Retry Button

Occasionally, Note Assist may miss parts of a visit or fail to generate a note due to latency or system outages, leaving you with an incomplete chart and extra manual work—or needing to contact support for recovery. To make this easier, we’ve added a Retry button that lets you re-process the full transcript and regenerate the visit note instantly, without reaching out to support.

Developer Platform Updates

Explore Your Hosted Data with AI, Instantly If you have a Hosted Database, you can now explore your data with Elation Analyst—an AI-powered chat tool that lets you ask questions in plain language and get instant answers, no SQL required. Elation Analyst helps you uncover insights, validate ideas, and run queries—without needing to hire an analyst or write complex code. For more information on Elation Analyst, look through our Hosted Database Guide.
