Elation Health is excited to announce our latest updates designed to enhance your experience with our EHR, Billing, and Developer Platform services. All of our releases focus on reducing documentation burden, streamlining workflows, and improving efficiency. Here’s what’s new:
You can find all the latest Elation product updates in one easy-to-access location—right inside your workflow. We know in-app messages and pop-ups don’t always come at the right time. That’s why we’ve added a permanent Resource Center, where you can catch up on new features and enhancements whenever it works for you. This means fewer interruptions and more control—so you can stay informed, adopt new tools at your own pace, and get the most out of Elation.
Experience smarter chart prep with Clinical Insights
Clinical Insights helps you quickly understand a patient’s health history, giving you the context you need to navigate the visit with confidence. With AI built into the Chronological Record search, you can simply enter a query and see results displayed in a clear, summarized format. These AI-generated summaries pull from the patient’s clinical profile, recent notes, and lab results, giving you the most relevant information without the need to dig through charts, keyword search, or re-request data. Available to all users with Elation AI enabled, Clinical Insights saves you time and reduces information overload — helping you spend less time searching and more time caring for your patients. For more information, check out our Chronological Records Guide.
AI Quick Start Forms make it easy for you to turn paper or PDF intake forms into digital versions in Elation. Instead of manually recreating forms with limited question types and minimal conditional logic, you can simply upload a scanned image or PDF. A draft digital form is automatically generated and opens in the new form builder for quick review and edits. Once you save it, the form is ready to use in your patient intake workflows — no manual rebuilding required. For more information check out our Patient Forms Guide.
Our latest feature delivers an enhanced Patient Demographic template that allows you to collect key demographic details directly from patients via digital intake forms. The completed forms automatically generate structured data when imported into the EHR, filing directly into the appropriate discrete fields within the Patient Demographics activity. The enhanced workflow ensures accurate and up-to-date patient records with less manual entry for your staff. Explore the Patient Forms Guide in our Help Center for more
Manually inputting long Group IDs and Member IDs from insurance cards is a common source of typos, compromising data accuracy. The new AI Insurance Card Reader automatically extracts these numbers and matches them to the correct demographic fields. While plan names and cardholder names still require manual entry, this automation streamlines intake and ensures reliable data is saved in the patient chart. Check out our Patient Forms Guide to learn more.
Premium EHR Users now have more control over protecting sensitive patient data by separately configuring access rules for Patient Cohorts and VIP charts** from the Security & Privacy settings page. This new flexibility allows you to tailor whether unauthorized users see a warning or are blocked from opening sensitive charts, helping your organization better safeguard patient data as you scale. Check out our Patient Cohorts and VIP Charts articles for more information.
The first iteration of Multi-TIN Claim Submission in Elation Billing is here, allowing billers to specify the correct TIN, Taxonomy, and NPI at the claim level using the “More Fields” dialog on the Superbill. Look for our fully automated solution arriving by the end of the year! Check out our Help Center for more information.
