What’s New?

Elation Health is excited to announce our latest updates designed to enhance your experience with our EHR services. All of our releases focus on reducing documentation burden, streamlining workflows, and improving efficiency. Here’s what’s new:

Elation EHR Updates

New Bidirectional Lab Integrations

The following bidirectional lab integrations are now available:
  • American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL) - providing esoteric and clinical laboratory services to healthcare providers in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee.
  • Primex Laboratories - providing clinical diagnostic testing services to clients throughout central and southern California, Nevada, and American Samoa.
The bidirectional interfaces enable eOrdering in addition to eResults, ensuring efficiency and accuracy when placing lab orders and reducing administrative burden and paperwork for your practice. Elation is thrilled to offer these integrations at no additional cost to its valued customers. Refer to our Bidirectional Lab Interface guide for more information.

Enhanced Quality Reporting

Elation now provides standard reporting for two Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs) related to depression:
  • Screening for Depression and Follow-Up Plan
  • Depression Remission at Twelve Months
Reporting on these measures will help you stay compliant with value-based reporting requirements for ACOs as well as participate in MIPS and other payer programs.

Annual Compliance Updates

  • We’ve implemented changes to the V24/V28 blended HCC risk scoring model, and have recalculated patient risk scores in the EHR for improved care planning and documentation.
  • Elation’s MIPS reporting capabilities have been updated to meet the latest standards, ensuring you can confidently fulfill reporting requirements with reduced administrative effort.

Document Tag for Clinical Quality Measure Exclusions

Ensure accurate quality reporting and compliance while accounting for the unique circumstances of nursing home residents. The new EXCLUSION: Living Long Term in a Nursing Home Document Tag has been introduced to allow practices to document that a patient is excluded from specific clinical quality measures due to their status of living long-term in a nursing home. When appropriate, this exclusion reason can be used for the following measures: CMS122 (Diabetes: Glycemic Status Assessment Greater Than 9%), CMS125 (Breast Cancer Screening), CMS130 (Colorectal Cancer Screening), CMS131 (Diabetes Eye Exam), and CMS165 (Controlling High Blood Pressure). By using this feature, practices can appropriately exclude patients from these measures.

Lab Order Form Optimizations

Experience streamlined ordering! The Lab Requisition Form has been updated to improve usability and efficiency. New search functionality has been added to the Lab selection fields, allowing users to quickly find the desired option. Additionally, for delegate users, new search functionality has been added to the Ordering Provider field and that field now also sorts providers by last name, making it easier to locate and select the correct provider.
