What’s New?

Elation Health is excited to announce our latest updates designed to enhance your experience with our EHR, Note Assist, and Developer Platform services. All of our releases focus on reducing documentation burden, streamlining workflows, and improving efficiency. Here’s what’s new:

Elation EHR Updates

Added Quick Reschedule

Quick Reschedule streamlines the process of moving appointments by letting you instantly select a new date and time for a patient visit—all without leaving your current workflow. With just a few clicks, you can rebook appointments and keep both your schedule and your patients on track. This feature reduces manual steps and eliminates the need to cancel and re-create appointments, saving your practice valuable time. Click here to learn more about this feature.

Tightened Chart Access Permissions

If you’re aPremium EHR user, you now have full control over who can access sensitive patient charts in your practice. With flexible options to block or restrict access by individual, patient cohorts, or provider assignment, you can protect privacy for VIP, behavioral health, and other confidential records. These safeguards let you meet strict privacy standards and ensure only authorized team members can view or act on sensitive chart information. Click here to learn more about these permissions.

Created Chronological Records Filters

Over time, a patient’s Chronological Record becomes bloated with documentation making it difficult for clinicians to find pertinent patient data. This creates obstacles in caring for their patients and increases the time it takes to prepare for patient visits, practice clinically and document patient care. You can now use quick filters Note Type, Document Type, and My Last Visit Note directly under the search bar. This will make it easier for users to navigate the chronological record and find documents they are looking for quickly. Click here for more information about chronological record filters.

Insurance Management

Elation’s enhanced Insurance Management streamlines how you handle patient insurance details, making it easy to update information, access both current and historical records, and verify eligibility right in your workflow. You can efficiently swap primary and secondary insurances without data loss and quickly reference insurance cards. This dramatically improves billing accuracy, reduces administrative headaches, and helps you deliver a smoother patient experience—all within your existing EHR. Self-Service MFA Capabilities

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) reduces disruptions along with more flexibility and convenience. You can now add or remove authentication factors and manage your own login options directly through self-service in Account Details. These enhancements give you more control over how you login while maintaining strong security. Please note, this update does not impact Single Sign-On (SSO) users. Refer to our MFA Guide for more information.

New Bidirectional Lab Integrations

The following bidirectional lab integrations are now available:
  • Cove Diagnostics - a clinical laboratory specializing in infectious disease testing via PCR, as well as genetic testing for most major diseases. They support patients and providers in all U.S. states except New York and California.
Bidirectional lab interfaces enable eOrdering in addition to eResults, ensuring efficiency and accuracy when placing lab orders and reducing administrative burden and paperwork for your practice. Elation is thrilled to offer these integrations at no additional cost to its valued customers. Click here to learn more about eOrdering.

Note Assist Updates

Added Medication Change Actions

Actions now further streamlines your prescribing workflow by automatically pre-filling prescription details—such as medication name, strength, and directions—when it recognizes medication changes spoken during the visit. Prescription forms are auto-filled from your documentation, reducing manual entry and saving time. With fewer steps and less room for error, you can prescribe faster and more confidently. Developer Platform Updates

Created Insurance-Policy-Specific Endpoints

Access new, insurance-policy-specific APIv2 endpoints if your organization has Insurance Management enabled. These dedicated endpoints give you more precise and reliable control over insurance data, making integrations cleaner and future-proofed. Full APIv2 documentation will be available soon.
