Elation Health is excited to announce our latest updates designed to enhance your experience with our EHR, Billing, Note Assist, and Developer Platform services. All of our releases focus on reducing documentation burden, streamlining workflows, and improving efficiency. Here’s what’s new:

Elation EHR Updates

New Bidirectional Lab Integrations

The following bidirectional lab integrations are now available: Bidirectional lab interfaces enable eOrdering in addition to eResults, ensuring efficiency and accuracy when placing lab orders and reducing administrative burden and paperwork for your practice. Elation is thrilled to offer these integrations at no additional cost to its valued customers. Refer to our Bidirectional Lab Interface guide for more information.

Edit Profile Confirmation

When editing a user’s name or NPI number on the Edit Profile screen in Account Details > User Settings, a new confirmation pop-up will display before the changes can be saved. Changes made to names and NPI numbers will update all previously signed documentation. By proceeding, administrators will confirm that the updates are being made to the identifying details of the same individual ensuring accuracy and compliance across records.

Developer Platform Updates

API V2 Updates

Elation’s API v2 was updated on February 16, 2025 to improve JSON response formatting. The changes are available in Production. For details, please refer to the most recent API V2 changelog.

Patient Demographics Endpoint

The preferred contact method for patients is now available in API V2 under PatientDemographics > preferred_contact, allowing seamless integration of patient communication preferences and ensuring more effective and personalized outreach. Supported options include SMS, email, phone, and Passport. Refer to our API V2 documentation for more details.
