What’s new
Elation Health is excited to announce our latest updates designed to enhance your experience with Elation EHR, Elation Billing, Elation Note, and the Developer Platform. All of our releases focus on reducing documentation burden, streamlining workflows, and improving efficiency.Elation EHR
PREVENT™ Calculator Now Available in Clinical Insights
Prebuilt for practices, the PREVENT™ calculator makes cardiovascular risk tracking easier to perform and consistent across your team — right where you already work in Clinical Insights. The guideline-based calculator integrates the American Heart Association (AHA) PREVENT™ cardiovascular risk equations directly into Elation, eliminating the need to use external tools. Using chart data, it calculates 10-year and 30-year risk estimates for total cardiovascular disease (CVD), atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), and heart failure (HF). Learn more in the PREVENT™ Cardiovascular Risk Calculator Guide.Enhanced Document Vaccination Form
Enjoy faster, more accurate vaccination documentation, now with barcode scanning. The updated Document Vaccination form replaces the legacy experience and supports 2D barcode scanning to auto-populate vaccine fields. We’ve also added a new VIS (Vaccine Information Sheet) Given Date field that defaults to the administered date to comply with VFC (Vaccines for Children) documentation requirements.Automatic EDD Calculation in Prenatal Flowsheets
We’ve eliminated the manual step of calculating due dates during prenatal visits. Entering or updating the LMP (last menstrual period) field within Prenatal flowsheets now automatically calculates and populates the EDD (expected delivery date) field within the flowsheet. Note that manual updates to the EDD do not update the LMP field. Learn more in the Prenatal Flowsheets Guide.Self-Service MFA Reset
MFA (multi-factor authentication) lockouts no longer need an admin or support ticket. Self-service resets now get providers and staff back on track in minutes. Locked-out users can reset their MFA factors independently by navigating to a dedicated reset page. The new reset workflow uses Stripe Identity for verification, sending a limited-time reset link to verified users along with an administrative email notification. Learn more in the Multi-Factor Authentication - Resetting authentication factors Guide.Easily Address Chart Management Issues
Get back to patient care faster without waiting on a support ticket for chart management issues. Practice administrators and staff can now restore accidentally deleted or merged patient charts directly in Elation via an updated self-service option. To find the new option, select I need help → Restore a deleted chart. Learn more in Recovering Deleted Charts.View More CPT Code Descriptions
Save billers time and reduce errors by eliminating the need to look up unfamiliar CPT codes in a separate browser tab. Clinicians and billers can now hover over any CPT code in a bill to see a popup description. Previously, only CPT codes that a practice had manually configured in Settings showed descriptions. Now, hovering over any CPT code displays a short description — no configuration required.Bulk Bill Management in Billing Home
Give billers more direct control over pending claims. In Billing Home, users can now multi-select bills and take bulk action across them, including transmission to Elation Billing or another PMS, regardless of bill status.Enhanced Document Deletion Controls — Premium EHR
Prevent accidental or unauthorized deletions with a new, optional Premium EHR setting that restricts non-admin providers and non-admin staff to deleting only unsigned documents they personally created. The new setting also prevents these non-admin users from deleting patient charts entirely. Contact Elation to have this feature enabled for your practice.Elation Billing
Automated Quality Coding for MIPS
Eliminate manual work with additional automated coding in AI Billing. AI Billing coding automations now add MIPS quality codes for several measures. A new setting in AI Billing — enabled by default — automates quality coding for Medicare Annual Wellness Visits. Users can choose HCPCS vs. CPT II coding and specify the payers to which the coding applies.Better Patient Statement Tracking
Gain more visibility into outstanding patient AR. Statement history now shows how many text and email statements were sent per batch, making it easier to see which individual patients received statements. The update includes a high-level summary and an easy drill-down to the individual patient level.Elation Note
The following Elation Note features are currently in beta.
Automatic Conversion of Select Vital Signs
Reduce mental math and cognitive burden when documenting vitals, especially for young children. Height, weight, and head circumference fields in the Vitals & Observations block now accept input in any common unit and automatically convert to the correct unit. The updated block converts feet, inches, centimeters (cm), kilograms (kg), pounds (lb), European decimal commas, compound inputs (for example,5'10"), and fractions. Invalid inputs automatically revert to the last valid value.
