Does the patient receive a notification when I send their prescription to the pharmacy?
Yes, you can send the patients a reminder after sending their prescription(s) to their pharmacy. These reminders can even include education content and cost-saving information. Click here to learn more about prescription reminders.
I downloaded the patient’s recent medication fills to their chart, but they’re highlighted in yellow and don’t appear in the medication history. Could you help me understand why?
Downloaded medication fills are highlighted in yellow as a visual cue. They aren’t permanently added to the chart until you ‘merge’ them into the medication list.Think of it like copying a list of ingredients from a recipe website into a sticky note on your fridge. The sticky note is just a temporary reminder — it’s there for reference, but not yet part of your official shopping list. To make it permanent, you have to copy those ingredients into your actual shopping list.Similarly, when you download medication fills, Elation highlights them in yellow to show they’re just for reference. They won’t become part of the patient’s official medication history until you take action to merge them into the chart.Click here for more information about managing downloaded medication fills.
