Medication/Supplement Management

A medication I prescribed is listed as a temporary medication. How do I move it to the permanent medications list?
To move a temporary medication to the permanent medications list, follow these steps:
  1. Click Meds Hx at the top of the patient’s chart
  2. Click Medication History
  3. Click Actions next to the medication you want to set as a permanent medication and then click Set as Permanent Med
  4. You will now see the medication in the Permanent Medications section of the Medication History and Clinical Profile.
Can I track supplement plans in Elation?

Patient Intake

How can I tell if a patient completed the electronic intake forms I sent them?
Here’s how you can tell if a patient completed the electronic intake forms you sent them depending on how they were sent:
  • Forms sent via appointment reminders:
    • You will see a forms status indicator on appointments that have forms. A ‘clock’ indicates there are forms that are incomplete; a ‘green check mark’ indicates all forms are completed.
  • Forms sent via the patient’s chart:
    • You will see a forms status indicator on sent patient forms within the patient’s chronological record. A ‘clock’ indicates there are forms that are incomplete; a ‘green check mark’ indicates all forms are completed.
    • The form’s sender will receive a reminder in their Reminders inbox in the Practice Home if the patient fails to complete their forms within the specified time period.
Can I send Patient Forms to the patient via Passport?
Patient Forms are usually sent to the patient via text or email. To send the patient their forms via Passport, follow these steps below:
  1. Copy the URL of the patient’s forms:
  • From an appointment:
    1. Click on the colored area of the appointment
    2. Click Copy URL next to the Forms section
  • From forms sent via the patient’s chart
    1. Click Actions -> Copy URL
  1. Click Letter -> To Patient
  2. Paste the URL into the body of the letter and then send the letter.
Can I create and send surveys to my patient?
Yes, you can use the Patient Forms feature to create a survey and then send the ‘survey’ to the patient from their chart.
