How do I append my signature to a fax I received via the Fax Inbox?
The Annotate and eSign feature allows users at your practice to annotate and electronically sign clinical reports and documents directly in Elation EHR. All users can annotate documents, while Provider Level Users can annotate and electronically sign documents. How do I merge two charts that belong to the same patient?
To merge two charts that belong to the same patient, first decide which chart you want to keep (we will call this the winning chart) and which chart you want to merge away (we will call this the losing chart). Afterwards:- Go to the duplicate patient chart you would like removed (the losing chart).
- Click on the patient’s name to access the patient’s demographics.
- Click on the “Merge Chart” button under Notes & Chart Management.
- Enter in the name of the original patient chart you want the duplicate chart to merge into (the winning chart).
- Click “Merge Chart”.
- Verify the data of the losing chart and winning chart. If you do not want to proceed, click “No”. If you do want to proceed, follow the next step.
- Click “Yes, merge charts” to complete the merge.
Direct Messaging
Can I send Direct Messages using Elation?
Yes, you can send Direct Messages via the Letter to Provider feature in Elation EHR, as long as you have the recipient’s Direct Address. Click here to learn more about the Direct Messaging feature.What is my Direct Address?

How do I restore a deleted fax?
To restore a fax that was deleted within the last 7 calendar days:- Open the Fax Inbox
- Click on the “Recently Deleted” button at the top of your inbox
- Select the pages you want to restore & then click “Restore”
