To support the importance of promoting and prioritizing interoperability and exchange of patient immunization data across various healthcare platforms, Elation has established an electronic interface with the Nevada’s Statewide Immunization Information System (NV WebIZ).

What is the NV WebIZ Immunization Registry Interface?

The NV WebIZ Immunization Registry Interface allows connected practices to send vaccination information from their Elation EHR directly to NV WebIZ, Nevada’s Statewide Immunization Information System. Practices can also query NV WebIZ for vaccination history or forecast.

Why is the NV WebIZ Immunization Registry Interface valuable?

With the NV WebIZ Immunization Registry Interface, practices no longer need to separately log in to NV WebIZ to enter vaccination records for their patients. Once the vaccination is recorded in Elation during the patient encounter, the information can be sent immediately from the patient’s chart in Elation to NV WebIZ. You can also pull vaccination history for specific patients from NV WebIZ to allow you to populate your patient’s clinical profile and make informed decisions for administering vaccines. This interface saves you time and allows you to streamline your vaccination workflows.

How to establish interface between Elation & NV WebIZ

In order to utilize the NV WebIZ interface, your practice must administer vaccines. You will not be able to use the interface to only query for immunization data. The Elation Team will assist you with initiating interface with NV WebIZ. To notify us of your interest please complete this form for NV WebIZ, then click here to fill out our contact form, select “Immunization Registry” as the Request Typeand send the following information to Elation. A member of the Elation team will collect the completed NV WebIZ form from you.
  1. Is your practice already enrolled with Nevada WebIZ? (i.e. Your practice can log in to the immunization registry and submit immunizations.)
  2. How many practice locations administer vaccines? If more than one, please provide the name of each location.
  3. What is the estimated number of vaccines your practice gives annually?
  4. Who is the point of contact for your practice for the immunization registry?
  5. Does your practice need to register your intent to electronically submit data for Meaningful Use (i.e. for MIPS)? If so, which providers at your practice need to register their intent?

How to submit vaccination data to NV WebIZ using Elation

You will use the Vaccine Form in the patient’s chart to document the vaccination data and submit it the data to NV WebIZ. Learn more about how to use the Vaccine Form using the Vaccination Documentation Guide .
Patients must consent to sharing their Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in order for you to electronically send their vaccination information to NV WebIZ. You can document the patient’s consent by selecting the ’ Yes, patient consents to sharing their PII with the registry ’ option for the question Patient consents to sharing Personally Identifiable Information? .
All submissions are one-time only. If you need to edit any vaccination data after it is sent to the Immunization Registry, you will need to update the data in both the patient’s chart and the Immunization Registry directly.

How to query for vaccination history/forecast using NV WebIZ

You can query for vaccination history/forecast directly within a patient’s chart by following the instructions listed in the ‘Querying for vaccination history and/or forecast using an Immunization Registry Interface’ section of the Vaccination Documentation Guide .

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How can I tell if the vaccination record was successfully submitted to the immunization registry?

You can log into your State’s registry to review vaccination records submitted from Elation to the registry through the interface from time to time. If you have questions about a specific vaccination record, please send the patient ID and the name of the immunization to the Support Team and we can look into the vaccination record.

How can I edit or delete a vaccination record from the registry using Elation?
