Frequently Asked Questions
How do Staff Level Users at my practice get access to Note Assist during the trial period?
For customers who are beta testing this feature, Elation will automatically give all Staff Level Users at your practice access to Note Assist during the trial period, which starts January 28, 2025 and ends February 5, 2025. How does Note Assist work for Staff Level Users? Note Assist works the same for Staff Level Users as it does for physicians and other providers. Once the feature is enabled during the trial, the orange Scribe button will display in patient charts and visit notes. Staff Level Users would simply select it to start recording with the patient. When the Staff Level User is finished with the patient, they will click Finish Recording to end their session with the patient, and Note Assist will populate the visit note with the appropriate content. Can my MA start a note using Note Assist that I later finish? What happens with the transcription? Yes, your MA can start a note using Note Assist that you later finish. We recommend the following workflow:- When the Staff Level User is finished with the patient, they should click Finish Recording to end their session with the patient, and Note Assist will populate the visit note with the appropriate content.
- When the provider opens the same in-progress visit note, they will see the note contents from the staff user. The clinician will click Start Recording to capture the visit conversation with the patient; they will see the earlier transcript of the exchange between the staff and patient, as well as the updated transcript of their conversation with the patient.
