What is eOrdering with Scarlet Health via Bioreference?
Elation and BioReference have partnered to bring you Scarlet Health, a mobile phlebotomy service that allows patients to have various types of blood draws, urine samples, and COVID-19 swabs performed and/or collected from their own homes or places of employment. Scarlet Health can support most tests for which specimens can be collected within a brick and mortar patient service center.- Scarlet Health cannot handle specimens that must be collected by a healthcare provider or must be collected over an extended time period. Examples of specimens Scarlet Health does not support currently include stool, swabs such as a Pap smear, bone marrow, or biopsy collections.
- You will now be able to submit orders for labs to Scarlet Health directly within Elation without manually printing and faxing the order.
- We combined Scarlet Health’s laboratory compendium and ask-on-entry prompts with that of Biorerefence’s and both can be accessed directly from the lab requisition form, to ensure that your practice is always selecting a Scarlet Health specific, Scarlet Health approved lab test to be performed.
