What are integrations/interfaces?
It is our philosophy at Elation to make it as easy as possible to access clinical information at the point of care, and integrations is an important part of that. Elation partners with labs, practice management, billing systems and software tools to create a comprehensive solution for your practice. An integration/interface will allow you to seamlessly transfer various protected health information (PHI) across different softwares used by your practice and streamline your practice’s workflows while increasing efficiency.
Requesting to turn on an established integration/interface
Integrations/interfaces have already been established with many partners for various medical or practice functions. Please review all Elation partners here to see which integrations/interfaces you can use alongside Elation EHR: https://www.elationhealth.com/integrations/.
To request to turn on an established interface, click I need help -> Contact Elation Support and send Elation the following information:
- The name of the vendor.
- The name and email address of your contact at the vendor.
Requesting to establish a new integration/interface
If you would like a brand new software vendor to build an integration/interface with Elation, we recommend
- Contacting the new software vendor to let them know you are interested in an interface between Elation and the vendor to make them aware
- Click I need help -> Contact Elation Support and send Elation the following information:
- name of the vendor you would like Elation to interface with
- the name and email of a contact at the vendor
Elation will review the request and reach out to the vendor to determine if an integration/interface is possible and keep you updated on the progress of the request.
Please Note : Some vendors may charge you additional fees if you want them to build an interface with ElationNot all vendors are capable of or open to integrating with EHRs due to HIPAA regulations

Why is my software vendor not currently interfaced with Elation?
Elation reviews and investigates every integration request that we receive. Some vendors are not capable of or open to integrating with EHR due to HIPAA regulations. Elation will evaluate every integration request to determine if an interface is possible.
How long does it take for vendors to build an integration/interface with Elation?
Time to interface with Elation is dependent on the resourcing and speed of the partner. The Elation Integrations team will support the partner during the integration/interface build. Most laboratory and imaging vendors take one to two months to complete an interface build and most API integrators take one to three months to complete an integration build.
