What are lab or imaging interfaces?

It is our philosophy at Elation to make it as easy as possible to access clinical information at the point of care, and integrations is an important part of that. Elation partners with labs, practice management, billing systems and software tools to create a comprehensive solution for your practice. An integration/interface will allow you to seamlessly transfer various protected health information (PHI) across different softwares used by your practice and streamline your practice’s workflows while increasing efficiency.

Requesting to turn on an established lab or imaging interface

Interfaces have already been established with many Lab and Imaging partners. Please review all Elation partners here to see which interfaces you can use alongside Elation EHR: https://www.elationhealth.com/integrations/. To request to turn on an established interface, use one of the following workflows:
  • Click I need help -> Contact Elation Support and send Elation the name and email address of your contact at the vendor OR
  • Fill out this Contact Support form with the name and email address of your contact at the vendor.

Requesting to establish a new integration/interface

If you would like a brand new lab or imaging vendor to build an interface with Elation, we recommend
  1. Contacting the new lab or imaging vendor to let them know you are interested in an interface between Elation and the vendor to make them aware
  2. Click I need help -> Contact Elation Support and send Elation the following information:
  • name of the lab or imaging vendor you would like Elation to interface with
  • the name and email of a contact at the lab or imaging vendor
Elation will review the request and reach out to the lab or imaging vendor to determine if an interface is possible and keep you updated on the progress of the request.
Some lab or imaging vendors may charge you additional fees if you want them to build an interface with Elation.

Why is my lab or imaging vendor not currently interfaced with Elation?

Elation reviews and investigates every integration request that we receive. Some vendors may not wish to build an interface with Elation. Elation will evaluate every integration request to determine if an interface is possible.

How long does it take for vendors to build an integration/interface with Elation?

Time to interface with Elation is dependent on the resourcing and speed of the partner. The Elation Integrations team will support the partner during the interface build. Most lab and imaging vendors take one to two months to complete an interface build.
