- Not Documented: The Patient’s Allergies have not been documented at all
- NKDA: The Patient’s Allergies have been documented and they report none (NKDA)
- Allergies: The Patient’s Allergies have been documented and they report more than one
In case (1), Not Documented, you’d want to see that:
- Allergies are null for that patient
- Allergy documentation is null for that patient
- Allergies are null for that patient
- Allergy documentation is NOT null
- Allergies are NOT null
- Allergy documentation can be null or non-null, it does not matter
You’ll notice that the main information in the above cases for understanding NKDA is whether the documentation exists. So the values returned are very minimal. Just the patient and the
created_date.
