The US Core Profiles 6.1.0 are designed to meet the requirements of the U.S. Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) v3. They support ASTP Health IT Certification Program requirements and provide the foundation for interoperable health data exchange in the United States. The US Core 6.1.0 profiles were created to align with USCDI v3, which expanded from 52 data elements in 16 data classes (USCDI v1) to 94 data elements in 19 data classes. USCDI v3 adds significant new capabilities focused on promoting health equity, reducing disparities, and supporting public health data interoperability.
