# Subscribe to Elation Release Feeds

> Follow Elation API and Hosted Database changes automatically using RSS.

The Elation API changelog and the Hosted Database release notes each publish an RSS feed. Subscribe to a feed and new entries reach you automatically, so you do not have to check the page for changes.

## Subscribe in Slack

Slack posts each new entry to a channel you choose.

1. Open the channel where you want the updates to appear.
2. Send `/feed subscribe [feed address]`, using one of the addresses above.
3. Confirm the subscription when Slack prompts you.

Slack's [Add RSS feeds to Slack](https://slack.com/help/articles/218688467-Add-RSS-feeds-to-Slack) article covers the permissions required, how to install the RSS app if your workspace does not have it, and how to manage or remove subscriptions.

## Subscribe in a feed reader

Paste either address into any feed reader. The feeds are public and need no Elation credentials or other setup. If feed readers are unfamiliar, [About Feeds](https://aboutfeeds.com/) explains how RSS works and lists readers to choose from.
