# Patient Payment Receipts

> Learn how to print patient payment receipts in Elation EHR and Billing

This article explains how to print patient payment receipts.

## Overview

There are different methods for printing patient payment receipts depending on where the payment was collected.

## Workflow Instructions

### Payment Collected in the EHR

If you collected the payment in the EHR, you can print the receipt from the EHR's "Patient Payment Report". See [Collecting a Patient Payment in the EHR - Step 4](/articles/elation-ehr-billing-collecting-a-patient-payment-in-the-ehr).

### Payment Only Posted in Elation Billing

At this time, formal Patient Payment receipts are not available within Elation Billing. However, you can print the **Patient's History** to show receipt of payment.

1. In Elation Billing, navigate to the patient's page.

2. Select the **History** button in the lower-right.

3. To print, use the Printer Icon in the upper-right corner of the History.
