# User Accounts Guide- System Requirements and Recommendations

> This article provides in depth information on system requirements and recommendations for your Elation EHR account.

## Recommendation Overview

Elation recommends using specific devices and browsers and keeping your device operating system and web browsers up to date to ensure the Elation EHR application operates efficiently and as intended for your practice.

### Device Configuration

Elation EHR works best on a computer device that has at least a 13 inch screen.

### Recommended Browsers

Elation recommends using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your computer's web browser when using Elation EHR. Using these browsers ensures that you will have the best user experience with Elation EHR as our engineers test and design on those browsers. Using
[other browsers](#other_browsers)
can cause irregular behavior within Elation EHR.

### Staying Updated

Keeping your device operating system and web browsers fully updated will help ensure that Elation EHR works as intended and also keeps your Elation account secure. We recommend checking for these updates routinely and often, and updating when the update is available.

### Elation EHR is showing irregular or not expected behavior, what should I try?

If you are experiencing irregular or not expected behavior, we recommend trying to clear your cache/cookies on your web browser, in addition to our standard recommendations. Irregular behavior can be a result of old, saved data affecting your browser.

### Can I use Safari or Microsoft Edge as a web browser when using Elation EHR?

Our engineers test and design Elation EHR to work best on the computer version of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. We expect Elation to work on Safari and Microsoft Edge, but cannot guarantee that it will work flawlessly.

### Can I use Elation EHR on a tablet or mobile device?

The full EHR is currently not designed for use on a tablet. There are certain functionalities available on our iOS© App Elation Go. ### How do I update Elation EHR?
