# Questions of the Month - September 2024

> This article houses the most frequently asked questions from Elation customers for September 2024.

Each month, Elation will compile the most frequently asked questions from Elation customers through our different customer interactions and Office Hours and share the questions and answers with our customers. We hope to broaden our customers' knowledge of our amazing features and share best practice workflows.

## Patient Appointments

### Can I link my Patient Self-Booking site with Elation to my business website?

Yes, you can link your Patient Self-Booking site with Elation to your business website. To do this:

1. Locate your Booking Site URL by:
2. Log in to Elation EHR.
3. Go to **Settings** -> **Calendar & Booking**.
4. Click **Booking site**.
5. Click **Copy** next to your Booking Site **URL**.
6. Store the Booking Site URL on your business website.

### How do I share my Zoom link with patients?

When an Appointment Type or Appointment is set as Virtual, your virtual visit instructions (including Zoom link) is shared with the patient automatically along with their appointment reminders depending on your appointment reminder settings.

To manually send virtual visit instructions with patients:

1. Go to the patient's appointment in the calendar.
2. Click into the colored area of the appointment.
3. Click **Send** next to the **Virtual Visit Instructions**.

### Patient intake

#### Can I share the electronic patient form link with my patient while they're in office?

There are a couple of ways to share the electronic patient form link with your patient while they're in office. Here are the two options:

1. Resend the forms to the patient while they're in office. To do so:
2. Go to the patient's appointment in the calendar.
3. Click into the colored area of the appointment.
4. Click **Resend** next to the forms section.
5. Load the forms onto a portable device and have the patient fill it out in office. To do so:
6. Login to your EHR account on the device using the Google Chrome mobile application.
7. Go to the patient's appointment in the calendar.
8. Click into the colored area of the appointment.
9. Click **Copy URL** next to the forms section.
10. Open the URL in a new browser tab.
11. Log out of your EHR account.
12. Hand the device to the patient to fill out their forms.

#### How do I create patient forms with custom questions?

To create patient forms with custom questions:

1. Go to **Settings -> Patient Forms**
2. Click **Create New Form**.
3. Click **Blank**.
4. Give the form a **Form Name** and **Title**.
5. Click **Add question**.
6. Click **Other** to add a custom question.
7. Keep adding additional **Other** question types until you are done adding custom questions.
8. Click **Save form** to save your new form.

### Bidirectional Lab Interfaces

#### Can I send lab orders electronically to my local lab facility?

Yes, for certain lab vendors, you can send lab orders electronically to the lab vendor.
