> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://help.elationhealth.com/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Promoting Interoperability (MIPS) - e-Prescribing > This article describes the ePrescribing measure for the MIPS Promoting Interoperability performance category. ## Measure Details At least one permissible prescription written by the MIPS eligible clinician is queried for a drug formulary and transmitted electronically using CEHRT. ## Measure Parameters **Numerator** : The number of prescriptions in the denominator generated, queried for a drug formulary, and transmitted electronically using CEHRT. **Denominator** : The number of prescriptions written for drugs requiring a prescription in order to be dispensed other than controlled substances during the performance period; or number of prescriptions written for drugs requiring a prescription in order to be dispensed during the performance period. ## Elation Workflows Write and transmit at least one e-prescription using Elation. To maximize your score, ePrescribe as many of your prescriptions as possible (as opposed to printing/calling). This needs to be performed at least once during the reporting period. When completing your prescription, make sure you select **e-Prescribe** to receive credit. Scripts that are simply “Signed”, **Saved**, or **Printed** do not count towards the numerator.
