# Product Updates - May 2025

> This article will describe all of the new features introduced in Elation in May 2025.

## What’s New?

Elation Health is excited to announce our latest updates designed to enhance your experience with our EHR, Billing, Note Assist, and Developer Platform services. All of our releases focus on reducing documentation burden, streamlining workflows, and improving efficiency. Here's what's new:

## Elation EHR Updates

### RxInform: Automated Medication Texts for Patients

Help patients stay on track with their medications—effortlessly. RxInform sends automated text messages to adult patients when a prescription is sent to the pharmacy. These timely messages include medication and pharmacy details, along with manufacturer coupons when available, making it easier for patients to follow your care plan. It’s a seamless way to improve medication adherence and enhance communication—without adding to your workload.

RxInform is a free service for all Elation customers. It requires virtually no change to your prescribing workflow and can help cut down on follow-up calls and messages to your practice. Patients can opt out at any time, and clinicians or staff can manage opt-outs in Patient Demographics or per prescription. If your practice is not activated for RxInform, an admin can enable it in **Security & Privacy** settings. Learn more in our [RxInform guide](/articles/prescription-reminders-for-patients).

### Self-Service MFA Capabilities

Existing Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) users will enjoy fewer disruptions along with more flexibility and convenience. You can now add or remove authentication factors and manage your own login options directly through self-service in Account Details. These enhancements give you more control over how you login while maintaining strong security. . Please note, this update does not impact Single Sign-On (SSO) users. Additionally, Elation is currently rolling out Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all Elation users. Look for important updates in-app if you have not yet enabled MFA for your practice.

### New Bidirectional Lab Integration

The following bidirectional lab integration is now available:

* St. Joseph’s Hospital Medical Center Lab - providing specialized laboratory services tailored to oncology patients. Please note this is an Arizona specific location, not the St. Joesph's located in California or Oregon.

Bidirectional lab interfaces enable eOrdering in addition to eResults, ensuring efficiency and accuracy when placing lab orders and reducing administrative burden and paperwork for your practice. Elation is thrilled to offer these integrations at no additional cost to its valued customers. ### Visual Updates to Patient Demographic

Locate patient contact details faster! The Contact Information section of Patient Demographics now sports a crisp, easy-to-scan layout. SMS opt-in status stands out, contact details are neatly organized, and picking a state is effortless. Plus, when you add a previous address or emergency contact, you can start typing immediately—no extra clicks, just faster data entry to keep your day moving.

## Note Assist Updates

### Expanded Language Options

Clinicians can deliver more personalized care with enhanced language support, and experience the benefit of Note Assist with more patients! Note Assist now supports 12 additional languages in addition to English and Spanish—all within Elation. When you select a language, Note Assist seamlessly captures both English and the chosen language, making conversations with patients more natural. Spoken content is detected and transcribed in real time, but the final clinical note is always generated in English to ensure clear documentation and streamlined workflows. ## Developer Platform Updates

### Enhanced Reports Endpoint

Integration partners using our API can now directly list and download individual files from reports, making file retrieval and automation more efficient. If a report or file doesn’t exist, the system immediately responds with an error, reducing time spent searching for missing files.
