# Product Updates — June 2026

> New features and improvements released across Patient Passport, Elation EHR, Note Assist, Elation Note, Elation Billing, and the Developer Platform in June 2026.

## Patient Passport

### Native Mobile Apps (iOS & Android)

Native Passport apps are now live on iOS and Android, including Elation's first-ever Android app! The new Passport mobile apps support all web app functionality plus biometric login (Face ID/Touch ID).

### Now Available in More Languages

Patients who speak Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog, or Vietnamese can now use Patient Passport in their own language. These languages were selected because they are spoken by a significant number of Elation patients whose first language is not English or Spanish.

### Enhanced Patient (User) Settings

Patients with access to multiple charts can now choose which chart displays by default when they log in to Passport. A new Manage Access page lets patients set their primary chart and remove access to charts they no longer need, without contacting support.

### Clearer Registration Link Messaging

Patients who click an already-used Passport registration link now see a clear explanation with a direct link to log in. Patients with a truly expired, unused link can request a new invitation directly from the page — replacing a generic "Registration Unavailable" error.

### Print Immunization History

Passport users can now download and print just the immunization history from a patient chart, without including other medical record data. This feature is especially valuable for pediatric patients who need vaccine records for school and sports physicals.

### Print Messages

Patients can now print their Passport messages directly from the new Passport experience, addressing a print-formatting gap that was generating support cases. Attachments print separately from the message itself.

## Elation EHR

### Amendment Workflow

Reduce ambiguity related to note amendments. Additional details show exactly who requested a change, when, and its current status, with distinct actions for amending vs. documenting.

### Restore Deleted Notes and Reports

Clinicians and staff can quickly restore a note or report that was deleted in error. From an open chart, select the **Help** button in the blue Elation toolbar, then select **I accidentally deleted a note or report.** A list of deleted reports and notes for the patient will display, and one click of the **Restore** button will restore the desired record.

### Clearer Cancel Notifications

Cancel Prescription (CancelRx) notifications in Practice Home now use more descriptive labels, making it easier to distinguish between a failed ePrescription, a rejected cancellation request, and an unanswered cancellation request. Users can also choose, per prescription, whether to receive a notification if a cancellation request goes unanswered.

### "Received by Pharmacy" Badge

A new badge in the ePrescribing workflow confirms when a pharmacy has received an electronic prescription request (eRx). The badge makes it clear to prescribers that an eRx was successfully sent to the pharmacy, and helps reduce the instances of unnecessary escalations between practices, Elation, our prescribing network, and the pharmacy.

### Fax Outbox

Elation's new Fax Outbox feature, available on the main toolbar in Practice Home, delivers a consolidated view of every outbound fax sent by anyone at your practice, with real-time delivery status. Failed faxes are retried automatically, and users can resend, fix the fax number, or cancel without rebuilding the original letter or referral.

### Staff Preview for Patient Forms

Preview exactly how a patient form appears to patients before sending it. A new **Preview** button is available in the Patient Forms activity in EHR settings.

### Spanish-Language Structured Demographics Forms

Demographic forms can now be completed in English or Spanish, helping patients provide information in the language they're most comfortable using.

When you create a Patient Form using the standard Demographics Template provided by Elation, the patient will be able to complete the form in either English or Spanish. The form will default to Spanish when the patient's preferred or device language is Spanish. Please note, only the standard demographics fields are translated; customized text will appear in English.

### Failed Payment Visibility

Quickly see why membership payments fail — insufficient funds, card expired, etc. — from the new **View Failed Payments** report, accessed from the **Payments** button drop-down on Practice Home. A live count badge shows active failures, and the Stripe failure message column shows the specific error. The report includes both credit card and ACH payment failures.

### Clearer Patient Payment Decline Messaging

When a DPC membership payment is declined by Stripe, patients now see the specific reason (e.g., "insufficient funds," "card expired") instead of a generic error, helping them understand what went wrong and how to fix it.

### Enhancements for Clinical Insights

Clinical Insights now has access to additional medication context and provides more transparency regarding time windows and data limitations affecting its answers.

### Barcode Scanner Calibration Tool

A new self-service calibration page lets you verify that your handheld vaccine barcode scanner is configured correctly, checking for the Group Separator delimiter and scan terminator that Elation needs to auto-fill NDC, lot number, and expiration. The tool does not require an additional login and does not store patient data.

### Quest eOrder Requirement

When creating a Quest eOrder with the Bill Type designated as **third-party**, the patient's insurance carrier address must be complete, or a warning will display. To remove the warning, update the insurance carrier address accordingly. The insurance carrier validation is a result of Quest integration requirements.

### Vitals Auto-Conversion

Pediatric and family medicine providers can now type weight and height in kilograms and centimeters, and Elation converts the measurements automatically into pounds (lbs) and inches (in).

## Note Assist

### Note Assist Transcript Copy and Download

Clinicians can now copy or download their visit transcript directly from the Note Assist transcript tab. Downloads save as a `.txt` file named with the note ID and date, giving clinicians a supported way to retain transcripts for personal or workflow records.

## Elation Note

*Elation Note is Elation's newest visit note workflow, currently in beta.*

### Co-Sign Elation Notes

Practices with residents, NPs, or co-signature requirements can now co-sign Elation Notes, with activity logged for compliance.

## Elation Billing

### Payment Plan Messaging Toggle on Patient Statements

Practices can now choose whether or not patient statements mention payment plans, preventing confusion for practices that do not offer them.

### Send \$0 Claims for Reporting Purposes

Value-based practices can now report \$0 claims without clearinghouse rejection by enabling a new "Zero Dollar Claims" setting in Billing Rules. When activated, qualifying claims are automatically tagged with the proper reporting code.

### AI Coding Citations

AI-suggested CPT and DX codes now include a citation icon showing a plain-language rationale and the exact visit note text supporting each suggestion.

### AI Coding: Telehealth Modifiers and POS Auto-Population

AI Coding now populates the correct Place of Service and modifier 95 for telehealth visits, with citations explaining each addition, eliminating the need for clinicians to manually add this documentation.

### AI Coding Now Reads Lab and Vaccination Data

AI Coding now incorporates recent lab measurements (including point-of-care labs) and vaccination history when generating codes within the Billing section of a visit note. This feature is particularly valuable for quality coding requirements.

## Developer Platform

### HDB: Additional Elation Billing Data Now Available

HDB customers can now query billing claims and charge-level line items. Claim-level payer/provider/patient detail plus individual service-line charges can be queried, joined via `charge.claim_id`, enabling full claim and charge-level reporting alongside existing ERA data.

### API: User Impersonation

APIv2 now supports an optional `X-On-Behalf-Of` header that attributes API actions to a specific user in the practice rather than the generic service account. This enhancement is useful for integrations creating visit notes, orders, or other records on behalf of a specific provider.

### HDB: Prior Authorization Table in Elation Billing Schema

HDB customers on Elation Billing can now query prior authorizations directly — payer, auth number, units, validity window — and join them to claims via `claim.authorization_id` for renewal dashboards and payer-mix reporting.

### HDB: Documentation Update

We have reorganized the Hosted Database dbdocs page to be easier to navigate.
