# Elation Note Guide - Release Summary

This article outlines the timeline and details of the upgrades to the Elation Note.

## Updates

### April 2026

Added support for [Billing Guidance](/articles/billing-settings---service-locations--procedure-codes#how-to-enable-billing-guidance) in Elation Note. Practices can configure warnings or errors when an Elation Note is signed without a service location, CPT codes, or diagnosis codes.

### December 22, 2025

Added the ability to [print](/articles/Elation-Note-Guide-Documenting-an-encounter#print_note) signed or drafted Elation Notes. Print options include:

* Billing information only.
* A Patient Summary version - including visit summaries, vitals, procedures, care plan, follow-up, current medications and problems.
* The entire note.

For the **Bill** and **Patient Summary** versions, you can select or deselect preset sections to customize what’s included before printing.

### November 11, 2025

Expanded orders documentation by adding the following [order placeholder blocks:](/articles/Elation-Note#slash_command)

* Cardiac
* Pulmonary
* Sleep

### November 6, 2025

Updated the Reconciled Medications block to clearly distinguish between reconciled medications and prescription orders.

* Documented medications, including **New**, **Refill**, **Change** and **D/C**, will have a **Doc'd**.... tag to distinguish them from prescription orders.

### August 28, 2025

Updated the following in the \***E Medicare Annual Wellness Visit - AWV** template:

* Improved performance with Note Assist.
* Streamlined **The Timed Up and Go** & **Preventative Services** blocks.
* Added a new **Care Team members** reminder block.

### August 6, 2025

* Updated feature name in the EHR to Elation Note.
* Adding 'Coming Soon' labels to functionality that will be available in the near future.
